This short publication elucidates several enduring features of Hegel's thought. The first concerns the need for philosophy as a means of creating a new synthesis, a reconstitution of totality. Secondly that this reconcilliation of real seperations (entzweitung - self dividing) lies in the inner grounding of subject-object identity in the absolute. Thirdly that Hegel derives his philosophical standpoints critically and as a contribution to new post-Kantian philsophy.
